About Auctions in Ontario

Auctions in Ontario is a free, independent calendar of upcoming auctions across the province. It covers country farm sales in Perth County, estate auctions in Toronto, antique shows in the Ottawa Valley and timed online sales that close every evening. Whether you're a dealer, a collector, a farmer looking for equipment or simply someone who loves a good bargain, our goal is simple: every Ontario auction you might want to attend, in one place, sorted by date and location.

What you'll find here. We list live on-site auctions, online and timed auctions, estate and moving sales, farm and machinery dispersals, vehicle and equipment sales, liquidations, real estate auctions, and antique and collectible sales. Each listing shows when the sale opens and closes, where it's located, and a link to the auctioneer's catalogue or sale details so you can register and bid. Browse all current listings.

Browse by region or town. Ontario is big, so we organize auctions by region: Southwestern Ontario, Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario, Niagara, the Greater Toronto Area and Golden Horseshoe, and Northern Ontario. Within each region you can drill down to towns such as London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Barrie, Peterborough, Kingston, Ottawa, Hamilton and Sudbury. See every Ontario auction area.

Find Ontario auctioneers. Our auctioneer directory profiles auction companies from across the province, from family-run country auction services to large industrial liquidators. Open any auctioneer's page to see their upcoming sales and contact details.

Before you bid. Most Ontario auctions charge a buyer's premium (a percentage added to the hammer price), and HST usually applies. Online auctions often use a "soft close," which extends bidding when last-minute bids come in. Items are typically sold as-is, so attend the viewing when you can, read the terms carefully, and note the pickup window, which is often only a day or two. Our blog has more buying tips and area guides.

Auctioneers: list your sale. If you run auctions in Ontario, send us your upcoming sales and we'll add them to the calendar so local buyers can find them by town and category.

New auctions are added daily, so check back often or join our free email list below to get upcoming sales delivered to your inbox.

Questions

Auction FAQs

How do I find auctions near me in Ontario?

Browse the calendar on Auctions in Ontario and filter by town, region, category or date. You can also open an area page to see current sales and auctioneers near you.

What is a buyer's premium?

A buyer's premium is a percentage the auctioneer adds to the winning (hammer) bid. For example, a 10% premium on a $100 bid means you pay $110, plus HST where it applies. Each auctioneer sets their own rate in the sale terms.

What's the difference between live, online and timed auctions?

A live auction happens in person with an auctioneer calling bids. An online auction takes bids over the internet. A timed auction is an online sale where each lot closes at a set time, often with a soft close that extends bidding when late bids come in.

How do auctioneers list a sale?

Auctioneers can contact us through the List your sale page with their sale details, and we add it to the calendar so buyers can find it by town and category.
